Wes woke up Sunday morning alone. He sat up on the edge of the berth and thought. Nick was gone but he knew it had happened. He woke too many times during the night to just watch the big stud sleep. It had been an incredible experience that he never knew he would want. Now he couldn't get it out of his head. Nick must have left before he woke. Well, at least he had tried that. But, probably that was the only time it would happen, at least with Nick.
He started to get dressed and realized the small cabin smelled of sweat and sex and Nick. He smelled the man's scent on himself, his sheets. This wouldnt work. He showered and took the sheets down to the laundry and left them in. Back at the boat, he laid out on the deck in his shorts reading the case file. Everything he saw squared with what Nick told him last night and he believed the guy. Still wondering how this landed on him and he landed on Nick, smiling as he thought about it, he finished the file. This was going to take undercover professional LEOs. DEA didn't do much undercover. The Federal LEO community was really small. Going below, he got his cell phone and dialed.
Zane opened the door, his shirt soaked, Ty right behind him barechested of course. Why had he agreed to this running shit. It wasn't his strong suit but it seemed important to Ty. Today Ty had him up to 20 miles and he was feeling every mile. He headed straight to the kitchen for water. Ty headed straight to the bedroom. Guess he will shower thought Zane. If I weren't so tired I would join him. He was startled by the phone ringing, his not Tys. You are wound too tight Garrett he thought. "Garrett". "Zane, Wes Moore here. Been a long time." Zane stopped dead, Wes and he were friends a while back but he hadn't heard from him since DEA shipped him to Ft. Walton and honestly Zane didn't try finding him. It was too close to Miami and bad memories. Wes was a good guy. One of the type that would never understand Zane's newfound life. "Wes good to hear from you. How's FL?". Wes started relating the story. Zane was already tesning then Ty walked naked into the kitchen. Christ the man ... "Yea yea that ... sounds like ... but we shut it down", Zane said. Ty grinning knelt on the floor and pulled Zanes shorts down as Zane shook his head and tried to push him away. Zane continued listening, but Ty was...well Ty. Damn he .... what the hell is he thinking doing that when I am on the phone... Ty taking his cock slowly in his mouth his eyes grinning up at Zane. With great will Zane pushed him off. "Wes, I swore I would never walk back into that but yea I will talk to Burns about cooperating FBI to DEA. I can be there tomorrow. Look, my partner is a former Marine let me see if he can join us. He may relate better to Stark. See if you are missing something." Ty's ears perked up at that. He hung up holding his head. He explained it all to Ty. What was going on, the Stark situation. "Zane, if hes a Marine, he didn't have anything to do with it and if you think you are going to south FL without me, you are seriously more fucked up than I thought." The call to Burns was quick and a few hours later the guys were at BWI headed for Ft. Walton.
"Captain Stark, this is Agent Wes Moore of the DEA. You may remember me?" Stark thought about that one, yea he would remember Wes for a while. "Yea, of course Moore. This about the case?" " Yea Capt Stark, we need to take a formal statement from you. We should be ready about 3." Moore hung up with Stark's commitment to show. He ignored the offer for beer later. This had to stay professional.
"Wes, good to see you", Zane had his hand out dressed sharp. "Good to see you Zane. And this must be SA Grady?" Wes looked Grady over, god had that shirt ever seen the laundry? This guy had been a Marine? "Good to meet you Wes, call me Ty. When's your boy coming?" Wes pulled up short a second, and told them the time. Precisely at 3 as he had just finished exchanging info with the FBI agents, Stark showed up. He was in BDUs, blouse over t shirt. Perfect Marine image.
"Captain Stark, nice to see you again", did the guy just smile? "Agent Moore sir and these gentlemen are?" Wes pointed casually, "SA Zane Garrett and his partner SA Ty Grady of the FBI. Grady was formerly with Marine force recon". Starks eyebrows shot up. "You are a Marine?" his shock registering. "Yea Mr. officer sir, lowly staff sgt here so maybe I don't meet your approval". Stark was abosorbed. "What unit were you in?" Ty gave him the information and Stark almost growled. "Scott Morris was with that unit. You didn't get him out". Zane reacted before Ty could speak, "those details are classified Stark but I can tell you Morris died a hero". Ty swallowed hard and just stared at Stark. "Is there a problem Marines", Wes barked. Stark answered, "No problem". Wes turned back to Stark, "I thought you might prefer a brother in arms to take your statement." Stark shrugged, "Answers are the same regardless Wes, uhh Agent Moore." Fine, you talk to SA Grady here." Ty saw something pass between the men, weird almost felt like...nah no way.. on to the job.
Zane and Wes continued talking about options as Ty pressed Stark hard. When Ty returned he told them he had sent Stark away. "There is no way that man is involved in this. He is a good Marine." Zane questioned, "Ty do you know Stark?" "No" Ty had a funny look, " but Scott did and ... respected him. That and his statement are enough for me." "Well, we are all agreed then, it ain't him" said Wes. We should re-group tomorrow and figure out where to go. I think its going to take some of your UC work boys." Zane assured him that would work and then told Ty to wait outside. "Wes, its been a long time but ... are you somehow personally involved in this case? Are you objective." Wes snorted, "What do you mean Zane, I have never met this guy before. I just have a feeling in my gut." "Yea, those gut feelings. Sometimes you have to act on them Wes". Zane walked out.
Wes needed a drink. He changed out of his DEA marked polo into a t shirt and left. Found himself driving to the bar where he had met up with Stark Saturday night. He didn't know what he was expecting. He walked in and sat down and ordered a beer as Stark stalked up, eyes full of fire. "Remember you? Hell man I FELT you all day yesterday and I plan to remember you a long time. Provided that is you can keep me out of jail". Wes just gaped at him. "Come on Wes, you look like you could use some air. Lets go drink at my place."
Wes stood as if in a dream and followed Nick out.
